New for 2018, if you register before January 15, your player will be automatically entered into a drawing to win private lessons from Up the Middle Training! Winners will schedule specific dates with the trainer and be able to choose from several different training options including general instruction, hitting, catching and pitching.
The significant increase in late registrations last season made it difficult to establish how many teams we would need in each division resulting in increased team sizes, and in some cases, turning away players.
In an attempt to avoid this for the 2018 season, we will be changing our late registration process and fees. Late fees will begin on February 1 and have increased to $50 per player. Registration will close on February 15, 2018, at which time we will establish how many teams/coaches are needed for each division. After that time, registration will only be reopened for those divisions that can allow additional players.
As a reminder, team requests are only a request, and no guarantees will be made in regards to team placement. No considerations for special requests will be made after February 15, 2018, at which time players will be placed on a team with the least number of players in that division.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work toward a positive team environment for all of our players, coaches and families!
Starting with the 2018 season, Rookie Ball players will no longer be able to play "down" into a division that is below his or her recommended age group. We are aligning with Khoury League rules so that rules are consistent as players age through our programs. All players in the CKL will be able to register for the division his or her birthdate falls or one division higher*.
*Please note that situations have occurred where even though a player registered for a division higher than his or her eligibility, we have had to move the player back down to his or her eligible age group in order to support team sizes. If this occurs, you will be contacted. Also, this excludes Spring Training.
